How We Pick What Makes the Shelf

We don’t sell anything on this site. We’re a mall, not a store — every product here lives on a merchant’s site, and you check out with them. That leaves us with exactly one job: being honest about what’s worth your click.

Placements can’t be bought. Full stop.

No merchant pays to appear here, and no payment changes what we say about a product. If a link on this site earns us a commission, it’s always marked as an affiliate link — and it never influences whether the product made the shelf in the first place. We’d rather leave a shelf thin than fill it with something we wouldn’t buy ourselves.

What gets a product onto a shelf

  1. It has to be a real product from a real merchant. Every pick links to an actual, verifiable listing — no placeholders, no bait-and-switch, no mystery brands.
  2. The seller has to be legitimate. For marketplace listings, we check who’s actually selling: the brand, the retailer themselves, or a verified storefront. If we can’t confirm the seller, the product doesn’t go up.
  3. The photo has to be the actual product. Every product card shows the merchant’s real product photo. If no genuine image exists for a product, we drop the product rather than fake it.
  4. It has to earn its spot. Each pick carries a “Why we picked it” note — what it’s good at, who it’s for, and any caveat we’d tell a friend before they bought it.

What we won’t do

  • Paid placements or sponsored rankings, ever.
  • Products whose seller we can’t verify.
  • Cards that substitute a lookalike image for the real product.
  • Amazon options unless the listing is an exact product match sold by Amazon, the brand, or the brand’s official store.

How the money works

When you click a merchant link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That income is what keeps the shelves stocked and the lights on — it’s also why the honesty rule above matters so much to us. If a product ever stopped deserving its spot, no commission would keep it there.
